Hexamail - Setting up MDaemon

MetaInfo Sendmail

Hexamail and MetaInfo Sendmail coexist by using different TCP/IP addresses on the same machine.

Add a new TCP/IP address

1) Add a new TCP/IP address to your system. Make sure that MetaInfo Sendmail is not using it, by telnetting to port 25 of that TCP/IP address. There should be no connection accepted when you try this telnet command.
2) Add a DNS 'A' record for this new TCP/IP address, for example:

    guard.example.com. IN A 67.153.23.4

Install and Configure Hexamail
1) Install Hexamail
2) You will now need to set the SMTP Server setting in Hexamail to bind to this new IP Address, on port 25. You can do this in the SMTP Server Settings page If you are installing Hexamail on Windows, the setup program will ask you for the TCP/IP port during the configuration Wizard, but you will still need to set the IP Address in the settings page once the wizard has completed.
3) Next, set Hexamail SMTP Relay settings to point to your nexisting email IP Address, on port 25. 4) Click the 'Test Connection' button to test the connection
