You may have setup an email address to accept general enquiries to your organization. If your organization deals with customers in multiple different countries who all speak different languages it can often be useful to have the email enquiries go directly to the person within your organization who speaks the relevant language.
Let's work through an example.

To do this you require the Hexamail Router module, in particular it's language routing features. This is a piece of software you can run on your server (or any computer connected to the Internet). It automates the process described above. On a schedule it connects to the POP3 or IMAP account you have configured, downloads any new email and changes the recipients according to the languages and recipients you have configured. Alternatively it can act as an SMTP gateway and reroute incoming email from the Internet as they arrive. The software uses sophisticated language recognition to detect the language from the actual content of the email, not the country of origin or character set. This results in accurate language detection even when the user is an English speaker from France or sends an email in German from Spain.
